Heart and Letters

about Heart and Letters

We are very excited to write this page. Our motivation... well, culture and love.
Perhaps this should read in different order but, as you will see, we are very much interested in highlighting the importance of culture in our environment. It is our opinion that culture presents a good idea of who we are and, no matter from where we are, our values, customs and other individual traits constitute the basis for giving the world the image we project.
It is for this reason that we pursue, by opening this page to the world, to seek a better understanding of who we are and what we can do as we expand our horizons and cultural knowledge.

This will not be a place where you shall be compared to anything, anybody or be molded to fit any particular set of standards. You will have the chance to be the kind of person you are. In this community of open hearts and open minds, you will have the opportunity to share who you are, what you care to share and how you want to share, within the obvious parameters of mutual respect, of course.

Who are we?

We will take this opportunity to share with you, the readers and future contributors to this literary forum, some of who we are.

Julie and I are two people motivated by the beauty of arts.

About Julie

A native of Michigan, United States of America , Julie has dedicated her life to enrich her education and to learn as much as her time allows her. Very early in life she discovered that her main passion is music and, while attending college, in pursuit of a masters degree in Social Work, she also acquired significant musical education at Western Michigan University. Julie would probably be more than willing to share who she is at her personal space So feel free to visit her and get all the information you want to know, including her most recent musical work.

About Tracey

Traveling through the world that saw me grow in Colombia, South America, I had the opportunity to learn about many aspects of the Latin world as well as other cultures. I think the world with it variety of customs and people is fascinating! A voracious reader, I made my way through science, poetry, music and other kinds of books that gave me a vast education.
"Es puerta de la luz un libro abierto". Loosely translated: "An opened Book is like a window which allows us to see the light".
This quote comes from a poem dedicated to the book. I used to recite it for many years and, to this day, I still believe that statement to be true. Enter here! to read the entire poem.

I later became a professional musician, well, because there was nothing else I wanted to do. Piano was my best companion and, while I did try to learn to play the violin, I soon discovered that Piano was the only instrument that would interpret my feelings accurately.

I will perhaps write a longer story about me, my life and what you, even if you don't know me, mean to me. For now, let it be sufficient to know that, because of who you are, I am undertaking, along with Julie, this task of sharing the best of us all. I hope you will join us and have fun while helping us learn.
